ANA MARÍA LLOPIS: “TODAY, BUSINESSES MUST BE IN THEIR BETA VERSION PERMANENTLY IF THEY ARE TO SURVIVE.”
Ana María Llopis is Non Executive Chairwoman at DIA, Non Executive Advisor at Société Générale, and one of the few women heading a company listed on IBEX 35.
With extensive experience in business management as well as in the world of the Internet and new technologies, Ana María Llopis claims that, “enterprises must be in their beta version permanently.” “That is the only way to keeping them alive,” she points out. “Before, a strategy was defined and left untouched for 15 or 20 years; if we were to do that now, the enterprise would die out.” And that is because, “markets change at a vertiginous speed.”
For her, a leader in business management, “today, the world is exponential, not lineal. If we weren’t to adapt, if we weren’t in our beta version permanently and experimenting with several streams at the same time, we would be lost. Why? Because we do not know which will work out.” In her view, “today, strategy is of much lesser importance than experimentation and tactics.”
